I came to this work the long way.
Hi, I’m Rob. Welcome to my circus. Permission to Ugly Cry grew out of survival, and out of a body I have had to learn to meet with more grace and kindness than fear.

Survival first. Then everything else.
A colorful childhood. An ulcerative colitis diagnosis at 15. A liver transplant at 25, colon cancer at 28, surgeries gone sideways, induced comas. Somewhere in there I stopped treating my body like an opponent and started treating it like someone I was responsible for.
That is the whole practice, really. Not fixing you. Helping you meet what is happening with curiosity instead of alarm, until your nervous system believes it is safe enough to stand down.
I offer an affirming space for queer and BIPOC clients, and for anyone living with chronic pain, neuroplastic symptoms, or the emotional whiplash of healing.
You do not have to perform being okay here. Bring the mess. That is what the name means.
Certified by the people who created the work.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy and Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, trained and certified by their creators.
PRT is an evidence-based approach that helps retrain the brain’s response to pain and symptoms. EAET creates space for the emotional awareness, expression, and processing that can be so meaningful in mind-body work. Together they sit at the heart of how I help clients build more safety, trust, and compassion within themselves.
What PRT actually is, in plain English→The honest part
I am a coach, not a licensed therapist. I am currently pursuing licensure, and I continue to deepen my training through ongoing study, coaching education, and collaboration with licensed colleagues in the field.
Coaching is not a substitute for clinical mental health care. If you need support beyond my scope, I will say so, and I will be happy to help you find it.

The intro call is free, fifteen minutes, and there is no pressure to continue.
